3. Receipt of the database from the customer
4. Design of the product
5. Generation of examples based on the data, for customer approval
6. Corrections, changes and proofreading
7. Final approval of the product by the customer
8. Production of the job as files

Database
We can use a wide range of databases supplied by customers, from simple text files separated into fields and lines to Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc spreadsheets, Microsoft Access or OpenOffice Base databases and MySQL output files, or even through remote connection to customer servers.
Since the structure of the database is closely connected with the form of the product, it is usually determined at the start of the work process. However, for straightforward, simple projects, customers can supply a file containing a single row of data for each addressee. In such cases, it is important to pay attention to a number of basic rules during the preparation of the data, in order to prevent mistakes and unnecessary delays.
